Griffin’s introduction to CrossFit came in 2011 when she stumbled upon crossfit.com and started doing the WODs at her local gym. She was immediately hooked. After moving to CO in May 2014, she joined her first affiliate at CrossFit Ken Caryl, and a few months later, found her place at CrossFit 720.
Griffin was a competitive gymnast from age 2 to 14, but quit as a Level 10 when she had to have major back surgery. She moved on to power tumbling, competitive cheerleading, and competitive dance for several years, but gymnastics was a passion that, years later, she still hasn’t gotten over. A big part of why she turned to CrossFit is the emphasis on gymnastics, but even more, she loves it for introducing her to Olympic lifting and the fantastic community of fitness-ambitious people who push her, day in and day out, to break past her fitness barriers.
Pre-CrossFit, Griffin earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Longwood University and Master of Art in Organizational Behavior from Claremont Graduate University. She worked in the public sector, both federal and local, for six years before acknowledging that fitness was her passion and it was time to make the transition.
Griffin is thrilled to be a coach at CrossFit 720!!
